Text2Sheets ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share data when you access or use our service ("the Service"). This Policy supplements, but does not expand, any contractual rights set out in our Terms of Service.

3.2 AI Content Processing

  • Your submitted text is temporarily sent to AI providers (e.g., OpenAI)
  • Minimal copies or logs may be retained for debugging, support, or legal compliance
  • Temporary processing data is typically deleted within 24 hours (subject to system backups)
  • We do not use your content to train AI models
  • You are responsible for having a lawful basis for any personal data included in your input

3.3 Firestore Database Storage

Text2Sheets uses Google Firestore to store certain operational and user information, including account information, authentication data, usage history, rate-limit counters, conversion metadata, text inputs and outputs (where needed for reliability or product improvement), and logs for security, performance monitoring, and abuse detection. Firestore may replicate data across multiple regions. The Service is not a backup or long-term storage solution, and data may be deleted at any time.

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 OpenAI

Your submitted text may be sent to OpenAI for AI-based processing. Please review OpenAI's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle this data.

4.2 Google Services

  • Firebase Authentication
  • Firestore Database
  • Google Sheets API integration

Google may process data according to their own policies. We do not control their infrastructure or data-handling practices.

4.3 Payments (Gumroad)

All payments, subscriptions, refunds, renewals, and billing data are handled exclusively by Gumroad. We never store payment card information. Please review Gumroad's Privacy Policy for their data practices.

4.4 Analytics Tools

We may use services such as Mixpanel for anonymized usage analytics and behavior insights.

5. Data Retention

5.1 Retention Rules

  • Account Information: Kept while your account is active
  • Text Content: Temporarily processed; not intended for long-term storage
  • Firestore Data: Retained as required for service operation, debugging, abuse monitoring, and product improvements
  • Analytics & Logs: Kept for limited periods
  • Cookies: Typically retained between 30 days and 2 years

5.2 Not a Storage Service

Text2Sheets is not designed as a file storage or backup platform. You must maintain your own backups of all exported CSV data and text inputs. We may delete any stored data at any time for operational or security reasons.

  • Contract necessity: To provide and maintain the Service
  • Legitimate interests: Analytics, security, fraud prevention, and optimization
  • Consent: Marketing, optional cookies, or where required by law

7. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to countries outside your own, including the United States, European Union, and regions where Google, OpenAI, Gumroad, or hosting providers operate. We rely on appropriate safeguards when required (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses). By using the Service, you consent to these transfers.

We use technical and administrative measures to protect data. However, no system is completely secure and data transmission on the internet carries inherent risks. You are responsible for securing your account and exported files.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access your data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your account, request data export, withdraw consent (where applicable), or object to certain processing (analytics, tracking). 10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us so we can delete it.
